The Annual General Meeting of the East Kilbride and District Dementia Carers Group was held on Monday 2nd August. The following people were elected to serve the Group: Chairperson - John Vance; Vice-chair - Janette Sime; Treasurer - Sadie Young; Secretary - Carole Richards; Susan Bennie; Sarah Boyd; Liz Craig; Margaret McNab; Archie Buchanan.   Annual Report and Accounts are now available from office and online from link at top of page (large file - please be patient!). At The East Kilbride & District Dementia Carers Group, We believe that people with dementia and their carers have the right to be treated according to human rights based principles set out in the Charter of Rights for People with Dementia and their Carers, regardless of where they are, and in every part of their daily lives.
This charter aims to empower people with dementia, those who support them and the community as a whole, to ensure their rights are recognised and respected. We have adopted the Charter of Rights for People with Dementia and their Carers in Scotland as a core policy. The Charter of Rights will be distributed to all Service Users, Carers, Staff and Volunteers, and will be promoted at every opportunity. You can also support the charter, by going to www.dementiarights.org and signing the online petition. |
